Where is the Simple Shiva Shop located and is there a physical shop?

Simple Shiva is proudly rooted in the New Orleans East neighborhood. Currently, our offerings are available via online order or purchase through a market, trade show, or dispensary.
Is Simple Shiva a local brand only?
Yes, Simple Shiva is a New Orleans-based brand. However, in addition to New Orleans, our practice currently has offerings in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. We will add and adjust locations as we are led.

Simple Shiva was founded in the Kromanti and Akan traditions of Jamaica and West Africa. No, you DO NOT need to share our beliefs to receive healing, guidance, or medicine. Though we are strong in our culture, we respect that the earth belongs to many different beliefs. As such, we honor that the herbs and spirits have healing for all.

Where and How do you source your herbs and raw materials?

We have proudly built a system of authenticity when sourcing and growing our raw and herbal materials. The way that herbs are gathered, handled, and transported, greatly affect their potency. With this in mind, about one third of our herbs are grown locally right here on our land in New Orleans. Many of our more traditional herbs and materials, such as guinea hen and wild Irish sea moss, are bush-gathered and sourced directly from Jamaica and Grenada. The raw blocks of shea used in our root butters are sourced directly from Ghana and Senegal.
What is Simple Shiva’s Return/Refund Policy?

Our return, exchange, and refund policy is simple. Due to the scope of our practice and the spiritual/energetic nature of it, we DO NOT offer returns or exchanges of medicine or spiritual products. All products are spiritually/ritualistically crafted, so they cannot be redistributed freely. Any exchanges or changes will only be made for products damaged in transit. For this reason, we typically offer brief consults for first-time buyers.
Does Simple Shiva offer classes or workshops?

Yes, as we are culture bearers, we do offer periodic classes and workshops centering on Art & Activism, Traditional Caribbean Herbalism, The Foundations of Spiritual Protection, Orisha in the Kromanti tradition, and more. We give these offerings as we are led. We will post notice when we are planning another event.
Is Simple Shiva currently offering breathwork, touch, or personal healing services?

No, we are not currently offering classes on Breathwork or Somatics. We believe rested healers are more effective. In this spirit, our root workers are currently on a much needed sabbatical after a busy spiritual season. We will post notice when we reopen our books.
Are all products available for out of state order?

No, not all products are currently available for out of state order. Products, such as our root butters and sea moss gels, are made with 100% natural ingredients and no preservatives. This mixed with Louisiana heat doesn’t allow them to travel well. Though it is locally available year round, we haven’t yet made it accessible to our larger client/customer base. As we learn to further promote quality in our process, we will adjust our offerings.
